Symbian's devcert (the easy way)

Described in five (5) simple steps, how to get your phone's certificate (devcert files).

1. Go to http://cer.opda.cn/en/?action=login and register (pic.1a). Fill out the form and press "Sumbit and Reg." button.
*) UPDATED here's the new link http://www.shoujizu.net/en/login and register. (procedure overthere is almost the same as below, but takes 3-5 days to download .cer, .key files or for 3 bucks almost immediately) no need to pay or wait too long, (read below right after the *** mark).

    a. Account - Any nickname
    b. Password - you know that it is
    c. Password confirmation - same password as above
    d. Email - Your email address
    e. Save code - Input here a code from a pic that at the right side of this field.

2. Log into your newly created account (pic.2a)
*) if you've just created an account, you'll be automatically redirected to the login page.

3. Apply for a certificate.
After a successful log in, Press the "APPLY CER" button, then You need to fill out a form. (pic.3a)
*) fields of this form described below.
    a. Model - any text (keep it short)
    b. IMEI - your phone's correct IMEI number (dial *#06# to get it)
    c. Confirm IMEI - same IMEI as above
    d. Remark - any text (keep it short)

4. Log out, and await for a certificate. It may take around 24 hours (sometimes less).


5. To check if your certificate is ready. Log into your account for that and look at the "STATE" column (pic.5a). When marked "green" then You can download *.CER and *.KEY onto your PC (download "cer","key" files one by one).

***) right click the "cer" link and copy URL, open another browser's window and paste that link, then instead of "en/check_cer" in the link you need to type "en/down_cer" the rest of url leave unchanged. Press "enter" button and download a cer file. The same procedure with a key file.

6. Now you've got a devcert files (*.CER, *.KEY) for your phone.
